About Me

The things I like

Biology. I am interested in the evolution of reproductive systems.
Specifically, I like to look into the genomes of very old asexual animals (only females producing daughters) to understand why Sex exists in nature. How do they manage to exist over time while others can not? More details in at the Bast-Lab webpage.

Food. Both eating and cooking.
Preferably Chinese. But also French and Fusion. Wine from Palatinate.

Photos.
Street, low light, landscapes. Easily combined with travel and food photography.
